Preschool Ice Skating (half-day)

Preschool Ice Skating Camp introduces ages 3–4 to the ice through Snowplow Sam’s progressive levels, building confidence and core skills—agility, balance, coordination, and speed. Skaters enjoy a one-hour lesson plus preschool activities like storytime, arts & crafts, bouncy house, puppet shows, and gymnastics. Taught in a safe, playful environment with fun and games. Ice Skating (full-day)

Ice Skating Camp at Sky Rink offers comprehensive instruction for recreational level skaters who want to enjoy the coolest sport in the world and advance their skating skills on and off the ice. Ice Skating Camp follows the Learn to Skate USA curriculum, which maintains that skills learned at each level build on the preceding ones. There are six Basic levels (Basic 1 - Free Skate 2); each level has six to seven skills taught in a progressive, group-based format. As an added bonus, skaters will participate in an ice skating show every two weeks starting with week 2 the week of June 22. Private lessons available at an additional cost. Lunch is provided.

Preschool Ice Skating

The Snowplow Sam levels are introductory classes divided into four progressive levels allowing children with no prior skating experience to build confidence while learning the basic skills of skating. These classes are designed to help children six and younger develop the ABCs of movement: agility, balance, coordination, and speed. The ABCs are essential for developing fundamental movement skills and physical literacy. All classes will be taught in a safe and positive environment, incorporating fun and games, making class time an enjoyable experience for all. Skaters are on the ice for an hour lesson and participate in preschool related activities, including, storytime, arts and crafts, bouncy house, puppet show and gymnastics. Campers pack their own lunch - snack is provided.

Camp runs 8:30am - 2:00pm.

Extended Day Camp runs 8:30am - 3:15pm.

Chelsea Piers offers a daily Aftercare Program at the Field House from 4:00pm - 6:00pm. Aftercare activities include board games and videos. Parents may register for one day or up to five days per week.

We partner with Selby Transportation to provide full-day campers with bus service to and from Chelsea Piers. Licensed school buses pick up and drop off campers at a wide variety of convenient locations in Manhattan and parts of Brooklyn.

Full Day Campers receive daily hot lunch served by our partners at Pier Sixty. All servers wear gloves. We are an allergy conscious camp and do not serve any peanut products. Vegetarian Options available. We do not offer gluten free or kosher meals.


The schedule varies week-to-week, but you can see a sample menu here. If your camper’s lunch on a specific day includes an allergy, staff will go to another camp’s lunch to get something your camper can eat.

Lunch is not provided for volleyball, APEX, or junior campers. You must pack a nut-free lunch for your camper.
